Turn a plan’s broad promises into the next concrete task
While writing about urban regeneration, I organized a way to turn plans into actions, roles, decisions and evidence. Here is a small agent-assisted exercise to try.
The problem
A plan’s vision did not identify the next action or its owner.

In the urban-regeneration report I proposed linked records for actions, roles, decisions and evidence.

01The questions left behind by a vision
A vision for a place does not tell me who must decide what first. I focused on that gap in the urban-regeneration report, separating information an agent could organize from decisions people must negotiate.
02Use four linked records
I use four records to explain the approach: actions and dependencies, responsibilities and reviewers, decisions and their reasons, and claims linked to evidence. Consistent task names connect them. Unknown owners or dates should remain unknown.
03Treat 30, 60 and 90 days as review points
The report proposes 30-, 60- and 90-day reviews moving from issues and roles to operating arrangements and delivery controls. I treat these as prompts to ask whether the next step is ready, with actual timing adjusted for consultation and approvals.
04Try it with one short plan
Start with a shareable short plan and ask an agent to extract tasks, owners, timing and evidence. Leave missing values unconfirmed, then compare the table with the source. This is the practical exercise I propose, not evidence of a completed project deployment.
