Finish the report and the card that leads readers to it
An edited article is only part of publishing. I treat the text, summary, image and listing link as one deliverable in the UPMI report workflow.
The problem
Updating the article alone could leave its summary and image out of step.
My approach
I organized publishing around a joint review of article, card, image and destination.
What changed
I made finding and reading the right article through the listing part of the finish condition.

01The article has a front door too
Publishing a report also means getting its title, summary, lead image, card and destination right. An outdated card creates the wrong expectation even when the article is current. UPMI links shared listing data to individual report pages so I can review them together.
02Start with the reader’s question
The workflow I use starts with a question, then a title, claim, sources and outline. Context, application, examples, a checklist and references build from there. I review whether the draft answers the question and supports its claims before polishing the prose.
03Check the reader’s route into the article
After editing, I compare the card with the article, open the images and follow the listing link. Build and public-response checks complete the publishing workflow. My finish condition is that a reader can find and read the right article.
04Track the work behind the next article
This describes the publishing structure I manage, not a claim that every report follows identical automation. For the next article I want to separate research, drafting, checking, editing and release work, including why revisions were needed.
