Turning a 16-week building codes outline into a school course plan

A Codex project connected curriculum research, learning outcomes, assessment design, and school form entry. The difference between a 16-week draft and a 15-week school system shows why a course plan needs operational review after drafting.

Based on the August 23 Codex task “건축 법규 16주 강의계획서 작성,” including its draft and subsequent form-entry and save-check records. This is a historical account, not a fresh inspection of the school system.

01Begin with operating constraints, before listing topics

On August 23, 2026, the lecturer requested a 16-week building codes outline informed by public course information from five-year architecture programs in the Seoul metropolitan area. The brief already specified weekly quizzes, individual presentations, midterm and final exams, and assessment weights. Codex connected those constraints to a course description, objectives, learning outcomes, weekly topics, and an assessment plan. The result was a proposed teaching structure with activities and evaluation attached, rather than a list of regulations to cover.

02Make the connection between outcomes and assessment explicit

The draft mapped abilities such as finding applicable provisions, calculating building quantities, reviewing drawings and cases, and explaining professional responsibilities to learning activities. Assessment weights totaled 100 points: 10 for attendance-related quizzes and 30 each for presentations, the midterm, and the final. It also exposed a capacity constraint: three presenters across fourteen weeks provide 42 presentation slots per section. That calculation supports checking the actual enrollment and adjusting delivery; it is not a report of student numbers, engagement, or learning gains.

03Resolve the difference between a draft and the actual form

The original proposal assumed a 150-minute class, while the school interface later showed two hours of theory and a fifteen-week table. The work record says Codex consolidated the plan into fifteen weeks, retaining the midterm in week eight and moving the final to week fifteen. This is a concrete example of replacing drafting assumptions with observed operating conditions. Matching the number of rows is only one part of that adjustment: presentation, quiz, exam, and teaching time must also fit, and topic coverage needs another review.

04Distinguish filled fields from a saved course plan

The school system required twelve predefined performance items to be assigned to relevant weeks, in addition to typed teaching topics. Some content also needed re-entry because merely placing a value in a field had not registered a change. Codex corrected the required fields and performance mapping before checking the save result. The contemporary record reports completed course and assessment plans for three sections, including six weekly details that automatic copying had omitted. This case reports that historical record; it does not assert a fresh audit of today's school system.

05Keep the lecturer's remaining decisions visible

A successful save does not establish pedagogical suitability. The lecturer still needs to review presentation time on exam days after the fifteen-week adjustment, the relationship between actual attendance and quiz assessment, and the mapping between learning outcomes and school performance items. The teaching materials also require a separate check against the rules applicable when they are used. This case publishes no exam questions, answer keys, student-level information, or login screens. Its evidence concerns planning and operating records; it does not measure improved grades or saved working hours.

06A production sequence that transfers to other subjects

For another course, first collect the teaching weeks, actual class duration, enrollment per section, assessment weights, and mandatory school fields. Build a mapping from each outcome to topics, activities, and assessment, then calculate presentation capacity and time totals. After entry, check required fields, omissions introduced by copying, persistence after saving, and completion status for every section. Connecting drafting with these operational checks makes the agent's output easier for a lecturer to inspect, revise, and take responsibility for as a usable course plan.
